Found Family: Global Queer & Feminist Shorts on HIV/AIDS
Thursday 26 November 2026, 7– 10pm (programme plays at 7pm, 8pm & 9pm)
The Forum, Wellcome Collection, London
Join us at Wellcome Collection for a Wellcome Lates, inspired by ‘Tenderness and Rage’.
What does it mean to hold tenderness alongside anger? How have communities affected by HIV built structures of care, connection and resistance?
Through performances, films, conversations and workshops, ‘Not Done Yet’ centres the experiences of people living with and affected by HIV.
Club Des Femmes have curated a short film programme, “Found Family,” that lasts around 40 minutes, and will run three times in the Forum, at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm – it’s first come, first serve, so please join us promptly!
Found Family: Global Queer & Feminist Shorts on HIV/AIDS (rated 18+)
These films focus on those underrepresented and under-supported, while most affected, by HIV/AIDS: the Black community, incarcerated women, trans women, migrants of colour, and substance users, from GRID (gay-related immune deficiency, an early name for what became known as AIDS) to U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable). That is, these films are about family, found and refound, in home movies and memories, in punk Hi-8 footage, in poems and letters from prison, in sex and activism, in animating history, in grief and love, in poems and rituals, and in rivers and rain.

More about Not Done Yet
Developed in collaboration with Positive East, the evening brings together different art forms, perspectives and personal experiences, celebrating the relationship between creativity and HIV activism. It also highlights the continued need for collective action against inequality, prejudice and HIV stigma. We’re not done yet.
Grab a cocktail or food from our café, or browse books and T-shirts inspired by the evening in our shop. Enjoy 10% off purchases during the Late, with some exclusions. Wellcome exhibitions, pop-up bar, café and shop will be open all evening.
For a break from the action, take advantage of the chill out space. This space has low lighting, comfortable seating, cushions, mats and space to move around and be yourself.
A BSL interpreter will be on hand for support and orientation.
This is a ticketed event. The ticket covers the entire event. You can drop in and out of activities at any time unless specific start and end times are listed. All activities have limited capacity and are available on a first come, first served basis.
