Sisters are resisters, as Margarethe von Trotta puts revolutionary women at the heart of New German Cinema. Armed revolutionary Marianne (based on the Red Army Faction’s leader Gudrun Ensslin) argues the cause with her sister Juliane, a feminist activist and journalist.
After the screening, join Club des Femmes’ Sophie Mayer to talk about feminist strategies of resistance with cultural theorist Annie Ring, artist filmmaker Sarah Wood and poet Sarah Crewe.
